CUBISM

This space owes its existence to a happy accident. I originally asked MidJourney for imagery in an Art Deco style, but what emerged leaned toward something else entirely. Angles fractured. Planes overlapped. Perspectives refused to stay put. Before long, the inspiration had shifted fully into cubism.

The experiment then moved from the images into the structure itself. Could a cubist sensibility exist in CSS? Fractured shapes, shifting layers, and competing viewpoints were researched and tested, even if true cubism in code is arguably impossible.

The result is one of the simpler galleries on the surface and one of the more complicated underneath. It also raises a wonderful question: what would the cubists have done with the tools we have now?
