This began with the idea of creating a chatbot that could talk to The Face. Then came a stranger question: why chat directly when a fictional social network could serve as a kind of substitute, placebo, or anti-chatbot?
ChatGPT was asked to create the pieces of an invented social platform, from profiles and posts to names and interactions. Unexpectedly, it resurfaced names from an unrelated exercise roughly a year earlier, a small and slightly unsettling reminder that old creative threads can reappear in new places. Images from multiple AI systems complete the illusion, looking convincingly like photographs someone might actually post.
The result is a pastiche of social media assembled from influences spanning years. Nobody here is real. The scrolling, somehow, feels very familiar.
