This gallery began with a discovery. Buried in a book was a screenshot of a wonderfully strange Web 1.0 image gallery, simple, earnest, and captivating. Like many old pieces of the internet, it carried a charm modern design often polishes away.
Naturally, I wanted to rebuild it.
I first presented the image to ChatGPT and worked through several approaches. Then I abandoned those efforts and handed the challenge to Claude, who captured the spirit more successfully. ChatGPT returned afterward to refine the details.
The images themselves were generated with MidJourney and focus on drawing The Face with lines, bringing the collection unexpectedly close to the spirit of the original galleries at FACEOFROBIN.COM.
Old internet meets new imagination, connected by a few well-placed lines.
